Tathata River

The Tathata River, which runs from the Tianshu Mountains west into the Durga Sea, is a river held sacred by many, especially Dwarves. It gives its name to The Tathatan region through which it runs, as well as to the Tathatan religion.

The Tathata River was probably first worshiped by nomadic Dwarven goat herders. Cultic activity is attested by BZY6000. By about BZY600, Dwarves settled and began farming and developing cities along the river. The source of the river was considered the holiest. At the source arose the holy city of Bara-xi, with a priestess who gave oracles. Records of these oracles were eventually redacted into what is now the sacred Law-scriptures.
